Construction and site preparation Ketelmakerij Vlissingen

The former site of shipbuilder 'De Schelde' in Vlissingen is undergoing a massive transformation from industrial site to housing development. The site of the former Ketelmakerij was prepared for construction and housing by Verhoeve. To this end, the following works were carried out:

- Inclusion and removal of paving approximately 4,500 m²; 

- Excavated topsoil approx. 4,000 m³; 

- Excavation and disposal of contaminated soil approx. 20,000 tons;

- Removal of underground structures & cables and pipes; 

- Backfill excavations with clean sand approx. 15,000 m³;

- Excavation of sewer trenches approx. 400 m;

- Construction of separate sewer system PVC Ø315 and Ø400 mm incl. manholes and connection to municipal sewer;

- Apply sand and finish building blocks to elevation;

- Application of rubble pavements at the site of roads.
