CO₂ Performance Ladder
Verhoeve Nederland BV realizes that the emission of CO₂ in its business operations and in the execution of projects is unavoidable, but that there is also a responsibility to reduce these emissions as much as possible. To this end, Verhoeve Nederland BV has drawn up a portfolio under the flag of the Aurora Group BV that includes the CO₂ footprint for the base year 2020 and an inventory of the reduction possibilities. These include all kinds of energy-efficient equipment/construction components, a more sustainable/electric vehicle fleet that looks at CO₂ emissions, but the main focus is on making our soil remediation units and our water purification units energy efficient. Green energy will be used wherever possible.

Responsible business
Our objective is to improve our surroundings and our environment. Important parts of this objective are remediation of soils & water streams, and landscaping our environment. Within these fields of work and organization, sustainability is integrated into our designs and realizations. Through an annual Research and Development program, we work to make our solutions and techniques more sustainable. These can, for example, consist of ecological water purifications such as helophyte filters, the application of heat-cold storage systems with a high-yield exchanger, the extraction of energy from the sun or a water stream and the useful storage and reapplication of this energy.
Verhoeve Milieu en Water attaches great value to continuous improvement regarding the reduction of CO₂ emissions, which can be achieved in part by the above developments. In order to monitor and optimize the reduction of CO₂, Verhoeve Milieu en Water, under the aegis of the Aurora holding company, has drawn up a portfolio containing the CO2 footprint of the base year 2013 and an inventory of reduction opportunities for the coming period.
